is it that much different at 1.2 vs 1.4" folks, I'd respectfully point out the focal length. A third of a stop is going to gather just a little more light, but on a 35mm lens it's not going to provide much additional subject isolation. If we were talking about a 135mm or even 85mm lens, you
might notice a practical and useful difference... but on a 35mm lens? I doubt it. For comparison, we're talking less difference than is noticeable between the DA35 f/2.4 and FA35 f/2.

might be a welcome advantage for the f/1.2 lens is that it could
possibly reach better optical performance levels at faster apertures than an f/1.4 model...
possibly. That's why I mentioned that I'd be interested to see how it performs at, say, f/2 - especially compared to the very slightly slower model. If there's significantly better optical performance at faster apertures, then - for some - the extra size, weight and cost might be justified...
