Hello,
I've never been much into video. But GoPro made a real splash in the market when they entered the scene years ago. So much that it got me interested and in late 2012 I bought this Hero 2 from a fellow photographer who was upgrading his gear.
Fast forward to 2020 and I've had added a Hero 5 for a few years now but still, video is not my main thing. They both see occasional use.
Haven't really used the Hero 2 in a few years and when I took it out for an upcoming event, I noticed it still works perfectly fine, but it looks horrible with sticky filth all over. So I gave it some needed love. After all, digitals also need love.
Other than taking the battery out I did not take anything apart as it is working fine.
When inspecting the case I found some tiny micro hairline cracks. Just to be safe, this case will not be considered waterproof anymore.
Ever wondered what your gear sees when you're photographing it?
Thanks,
