Some of the specs are close to possible, not so sure about all in one camera.It seems too big of a jump.

The Ordinary Guys won't be buying it!

They already have one that's tested about the same as the K-1 (but slightly higher.). They aren't the old Canon any more.

R1 is definitely coming, but most of those specs won't happen. I don't believe Canon has the tech for an 85MP global shutter sensor. 15.5 DR... not happening. 9 stop IBIS.... nope. The 40FPS might be possible in AF-S. I doubt Canon has any lenses that can adjust focus fast enough for 40fps. You would have to be in release priority. In focus priority getting 20fps would be pretty amazing. With the Sony A1 the lenses say "up to 30fps" and I promise that I own a couple that won't hit 15fps in focus priority. There is no way those big F/1.2 RF lenses are hitting 40fps in focus priority.

I think Canon has an 85MP camera coming to compete with Sony a7r5 which is expected to be 100MPs. I expect the R1 will have a lower resolution sensor. Canon has never put high MP sensors in their pro-bodies. 50MP makes sense for 8K. Whatever it is, Canon will make a beast of a camera.

Giving current state of the art technology, those specifications sound like the spec have been made up by some users, probably not a from Canon.

For example, are the 21Mp at 40fps unlimited even plausible?
