Oh. They may be a lot of things. But we can go beyond maybes and get a bit more definite. And we can do so just being involved in various Nikon-centric forums and communities (and thus seeing what the discussions are about). Of course there are exceptions to the rule, but most people have moved on it seems.
And I responded to Mac's post at length. If you don't like what I said, I can't help you. But I covered it already, both in my response to him and other posts in this thread.
These arguments largely are solutions looking for a problem.
