Identification Help...?

I got this when I won a bulk auction. Any ideas what it is? It has a focuser and a small mount, and it's metal and heavy for its size, but has no identifying marks.

Could it be part of a viewfinder for a telescope?

Looks like a lens?? Is that an M42 thread on the back end? Do those two (what look like) rings adjust anything? If you hold a white card behind it and point it at a light source, can you get an image?

Could be a screw mount lens. I’ve seen some Soviet ones like this, no marks whatsoever, just a cylindrical barrel, m42, m39, m37...The photo doesn’t give a sense of scale. What’s the size?

C-mount industrial microscope lens?

A reverse image search on your first photo soon leads to this page (apology if link is blocked/doesn't work) where it looks pretty much identical to the third image.

The advert title translates to "Industrial Microscope Camera BNC AV Output 800TVL + 7" LCD Monitor + Stand Holder + 100X C-Mount Lens + 40 LED Ring Light, Working ", so I presume thats the sort of thing it's part of.
