Well, 6K for just the body without the back, hopefully, won't be in the same league price-wise as a Pentax 645D.

Exactly....if Pentax can bring the 645D to market for around $10K *with* back, it could make a real impact. I first heard the latest news (2010 launch) from some Canon and Nikon colleagues and they seemed very interested in the 645D and what price it would come in at.....think about premium 21-24mp FF DSLRs that are in the $6-8K range and Pentax introduces a 30mp MF DSLR around $10K...it would give one pause I think.

Mamiya has a 22MP system (camera, back, lens) on the market for under $7k already. Granted the sensor is getting old by technology standards, but it is still a respectable system. The DL28 is a little more up to date spec wise, and at $15k they probably have some wiggle room when it comes to pricing for it should Pentax start to look dangerous.
