Not that crazy... the special battery for the D3/D700 grip is around the same price.

Not so bad. The D-LI 50 (K10, K20) and D-LI 90 (K7) go for $100 each in Canada.

Not that bad, 10 years ago original spare LiIon battery for Sony DSC 3mp digital camera cost me more that that. And it lasted rediculose 90 shots on average. This was my last Sony purchase most likely for the rest of my life.
