[langtitle=no]Exposure comensation on A3(000)[/langtitle]

The A3 is a very simple camera, which I like to use due to cheap batteries and nice handling. However, I sometimes feel the need for exposure compensation (other than the dedicated button), and read recently about using the ISO setting to set over- or underexposure. When looking at the meter (in Av), it doesn't seem to work.

Is this because the film is DX encoded, and possible to overcome just by taping over the contacts on the film?[

From what I understand, if the film is DX coded the ISO dial is completely ignored by the camera. You can try taping over the film's DX code so the camera believes it is not coded and uses the dial. Then the dial can be used for compensation.

Thanks,
