My Spotmatic II & a few SMCs!

Here are a few photos of my "stuff". We've NEVER put ANY photos up on ANY forum before! SP11, SMC 50 1.4, F4 Macro, 85 1.8, 85/210.
Cheers, Pickles.

Very nice, pickles!
I have a nice black Spotmatic SP, which looks rather similar to your SPII

Thanks for that, I know the shots are pretty average...We used my wife's Canon Powershot....but it's true, we've never put up any shots before!
I was concentrating so hard I forgot to include my SMC 300F4, so I'll try to get a shot up of it as well.
Cheers, Pickles.

I would like to see the SMC 300 f4 Sounds like a nice lens. I have seen pictures of the SMC Pentax 300 f4 (ie. K series lens) before, however for my collection I am after the M* 300 f4...
Anyway, post away...

Thanks for the interest.
I have a few other "period" Pentax items that I haven't shown...Auto extension tubes (cased), Copipod, Macro Focus Rail 111 (boxed), Viewfinder Magnifier (cased), AF200T Flash. Always looking for others!
Cheers, Pickles.

From what I've heard from you Phil, during the short time I've been a member of this forum, I've got a LOOOOONNNNNGGGG way to go, to catch you.....but I'll be trying!
I think you've mentioned that you own an aspheric 15mm 3.5...I lust after one of those, & I also need to find a cased refconverter 11 which is a lot harder to find than the earlier version!
I missed out on a 105 2.8 SMC, cased with hood, fr & rr caps last week on Ebay...I think I went to $300...not enough, I got knocked off...ah well, there's always another I suppose!
Cheers, Pickles.

I’ve had the benefit of a head start of 35 years in my collection!! I bought some of my K Series collection when they were released in 1975 and the rest over the last two years.

Yep you’ll catch up sooner than you think!!

Phil.

You know as hard as I try to control myself it's really HARD sometimes not to come down with a major case of lens envy around here! A black Spottie II and a 300MM Takumar? Somebody hand me a clean hanky will you? I am officially drooling, sigh.

That's some really nice equipment. It looks like it was bought yesterday! Why can't mine look like that?
And I agree, original is always best. I shed a few manly tears when my original lens cap FLEW off the side of a cruise ship...

"Why can't mine look like that"?......To be honest......probably, because you are sensible, in which respect I mean that, you probably actually USE your equipment more than I do!
I do use mine, but having "pristine" equipment is pretty important to me....it certainly doesn't enable me to take any better quality photos, but it very certainly increases my enjoyment & satisfaction, of using this stuff, particularly as I have said, when I am finding that I have to pay an increasingly high price, and consequentlymake a larger financial sacrifice, to get the original, as new, factory product.
Cheers, Pickles.

I need to start using my "clean" Spottie and lenses ... and put it to good use.
Once i sell my place and find another one ... I an hoping to get into again.
It's a waste to see it sit there and not get used.
