I now know why John Lennon wanted one. My last thrift store score! Only the slightest nick near the neckstrap lugs. Must have spent 50 years in the case it came with!

Puderse,

You definitely have a better quality of thrift stores in your area than I have. The only m42 stuff I have turned up in this town has been a AT 55/2. I did find a couple of early Mirandas once. But nothing like your 83/1.9 and now another black SV.

My ME Supers - I recently purchased the Black from Adorama with the mirror stuck. Found that the shutter had not fully closed to release the mirror. It's been working fine since.

Although I use Pentax, this one is one of my favorite camera from my collection. Works perfectly (meter included). I only have a wide (25mm f4 - ~35mm on a full frame) lens, maybe one day I'll find a "normal" lens.

That is just a gem!! Back in the day, I had a Pen-FT (silver not black) with the 25 and 'normal' 40 and small 100, and a Spiratone 400 bazooka. The whole kit (except the bazooka) fit into one pocket of a field jacket. Splendid stuff! And astoundingly good optics. I cried when it was stolen...

My black SL has a meter marked SL but the meter is not all black. Was there an all black meter made for the SL?
