vivitar series 1 28-105mm on my program plus

i have a thing for vivitar series 1 lenses. i just purchased a 28-105 2.8-3.8 on ebay.when it arrived the lens was beautiful to behold. it was everything you could want it to be. but when i put it on my program plus it will not focus to infinity. it acts like my 70-210 with m42 mount and adapter on it.i read of someone else having this problem. i believe this is the cosina model. 67mm filter size. shiny black paint. a big one in the rubber zoom mount.everyone says that this is the one to have.has anybody else heard of this?

Could you add this lens to our lens DB while, by the way? Here's a listing of Pentax 28-105mm lenses, and it's not there: 28-105mm Lenses - Pentax Third-Party Lens Review Database
