It is not like you'll get any money from selling your k1000. My old film cameras have more sentimental value than the $50 to $100 that I might get if I tried to sell them.
If the Buy It Now price on Ebay is any indication, that range is more like $100 to $200, for a K1000. A $50 K1000 is uncommon these days.

Check your local craigslists. I've picked up a nikon slr & 2 lenses for $25 before on craigslist.

I haven't been monitoring ebay prices though.

Is $100 to $200 worth it for you to sell a k1000? 'cause I will totally keep my old film cameras if that's all I'm getting.

I just got a pristine Pentax P5 for $24. That's not a K1000. It fetches a price beyond what makes sense (to me).

This is true, however I suggest anyone interested keep an eye on the PentaxForums Marketplace.
My most recent camera body purchases were working K1000 and KM bodies, both under $50 here.

Another place where I've seen them cheap ocasionally is the local thrift stores, but the prices that you can find them regularly online at KEH, Adorama, Ebay, etc. are more in the $100-$200 range.
