I'm wondering if there are any sites that help to identify films from the markings. Now sometimes it's easy - Kodachrome printed on a card mount = Kodachrome! Or 'Fuji 100' by the sproket holds = Fuji ISO 100 negative film. But not always.

So - are there any around that anyone knows of?

I don't know of an exhaustive site for identifying film from multiple manufacturers. For Kodak there's this page that was helpful when I was going through some older work:

Kodak Film Number to Film Type Cross Reference Table — Tom Philo Photography

I've had luck searching for a manufacturer plus edge code, e.g. "Fuji RDP III"

I have had good luck just doing a Google search on the number imprint.

For Fuji the "film designation" & "emulsion number" are listed in the product data sheet for each film type. I could not find a summary list, so you have to make your own.

This is film taken in the 80s and 90s so I no longer have the datasheet....
