Pentax MX rewind release button do not return

Hi all,
I got a PENTAX MX in which the mirror always goes up but do not return.

Today, I tried lubricate the parts by opening the bottom part of the body,
and when I continue to test it by pressing shutter release and cock rapid wind lever....

after it goes to 36, it stop, so I press the rewind release button.
However, the rewind release button do not return even I tried open and close the back.

The problem now is that I can press shutter release button, but nothing happens! And I cannot cock it also...

Anyone know whats happen and how can I fix it up???? THANKS!!!

You need to move the film drive gears to the position where the rewind button releases. Move the sprockets by hand, and the release should pop back out.

I think I need to take it to repair.

Bummer! Too bad that it wasn't an easy/cheap fix.
