K2

A photographer friend of mine who has been toying with the idea of playing around with film (he's seen how much fun I'm having lately!) was visiting his parents recently, and his dad gave him a bag full of nice old Pentax gear he was no longer using. Lucky guy....a K2 with a 55/1.8, a 135/3.5, and a 200/4. I stopped by his place last night to survey the goods and help him along with it.

I took some snaps while I was there, and since I am just learning the ropes of different films and doing my own processing, I worked up the roll last night and scanned it this morning. Thought I would post one so we could all be jealous of his new gear.

Shot with my "new" MX on Ilford Delta 400 and stand-developed in Rodinal:

That pix of your friend with the K2, makes me feel ancient....as well I should, I am ancient.

I have the model before the K2...the last of the M42 screw mounts...the ES 11. Also a 55mm F1.8 and a 135 mm F 3.5...all bought new...'74 or '75. Can't recall the exact year, but i was actually a young man in his mid 2-'s then.

Wow that was a long time ago. Coincidentally ES 11, myself and the aforementioned lenses are all working fine.
