Somebody Needs To Buy This....

I wish I could, but I can't and it's just killing me that it's there. $119 for a black SPII body is pretty good, sigh. There's two actually but one is a LOT more expensive. ($189) Major holy grail of old cameras here for me, a black SPII.

If my CC wasn't stretched to the limits because of the trip I had to take back in March I'd so grab this one as a mate for Queenie. I don't "need" it though and I definitely cannot afford to spring for it right now, but it's so tempting me. That and the 55-300 I think are the two things Pentax I covet most right now, but I am saving up for the latter so this beauty will just have to wait....

Nice grab though, if you can go there...

Remember KEH uses stock photos.
The BGN condition body may not look nearly that nice.

I like SP more than SPII, I think it looks more elegant. Here is another nice camera that you might like. Actually I would have bought it myself hadn't the shipping cost been so high.

I do prefer the SPII in black, but it looks like it's going to be a grail camera for a while yet. I had a guy on another forum offer me one for a decent sum, but then he changed his mind and decided to keep it after all. (Ah, well....) Black SP's are pretty common actually, but I don't see as many SPII's and when I do they tend to be above my budget. I figure I will end up with one eventually but I'm prepared to wait. It's been a long time thing, and in the meantime I love my Queenie and my K-x so it's not like I need one anyway. Just want one on the shelf and to play with. Silly, the things we get fixated on, isn't it?

Wait until I post my topic, then you'll think again about calling yourself "fixated"

If I was truly and completely fixated I'd be buying a $200 pristine black SPII regardless. Instead I am content to wait until one comes along that's meant for me, at a price I can afford. I may have a bad case of black SPII envy, but I'm not crazy enough to ever spend my last dime on one. I'll get mine someday and as they say, patience is a virtue...
