[langtitle=th]Pentax ES II: Light meter does not work in a manual mode ?[/langtitle]

Does anyone know about the light meter in manual mode of ES-II?
If I rotaye the shutter speed dial from "Automatic" to 1000,500,250,125.....
and I push the stop-down lever up. The light metter needle is still above 1000.
I not sure "My ES-II is working in properly order or not". So who know about this topic.
Please share your opinion.
Thank in advance

You don't need to stop down. Are you moving the aperture ring to a smaller aperture?

The ES-II meter works in aperture priority mode only. To work in manual mode, you first meter on auto, memorize the setting, and switch to manual. Or use a hand-held meter. Personally, I find it fairly simple most of the time to stick to aperture priority auto and use the exposure compensation setting as appropriate.

Indeed, it only works in AE, not in manual.
A terrible design IMO...
