The Portland Building by Benjamin Chan on 500px.com

The Portland Building is across the street from where I catch the bus to work. Last night, as temperatures dropped down into 20 deg F, it was opened as a warming shelter for the homeless.

Took this photo a few years back on a night out with my Mrs and a friend of ours. Shot with Pentax LX, Pentax-FA 2/35mm, Pentax AF280T flash on Kodak Tmax 400. Scanned with Plustek film scanner.

Looks to be some oddity in the image in the last negative, but really not sure what caused it.

Pentax 6x7.
Super-Multi-Coated Macro Takumar/6x7 135mm f4.
Kodak Tri-X 400.

I picked up this T70 cheap, as my AE-1 was acting up and I wanted something I could do shutter-priority with. (My standard low-light shooting is to set the shutter as low as I think I can hold, and let the camera worry about the aperture.)

Not certain I like it: while the built-in auto-wind makes it lighter than the AE-1 with motor drive, the lack of any lock on the shutter short of turning the camera off meant that I lost about 4-5 frames to the button getting bumped.

Canon T70.
Canon FD 50mm f1.8 S.C.
Eastman Double-X.

Nice. I was looking at an FTb body even though I don't have any FD-mount lenses, I was thinking of getting an adaptall mount for it. Never had a problem with accidentally bumping the shutter button on my Rebel Ti.

It may just be the layout of the top plate. I've had no trouble with any of my other bodies that lack shutter locks, but this one...

(The FTb's definitely a decent body if you want a fully manual FD camera and don't need the F-1's extra features. Only real downside is the battery for the meter. I unfortunately don't use mine much, which I really should remedy.)

Thanks. I want to like it too but I can't work with it with my negative carrier on my scanner. The film so thin in 120 roll and curls up so bad I can't get it flat to scan. It's a handling challenge to even get it put in the archival sleeves.

That's unfortunate! I can't say I've had that problem with it, maybe you need to dry it more? I hang mine for quite a while before doing anything with it...

I have some RPX 25 in sheet film that I can't really use with my mod45 tanks, the base on it is so flimsy.
