It's my friend's canoe. The sailing rig was purchased from someone and he was giving it a try for the first time.

I'd add that it looked homemade but almost too well made for homemade. It was made out of fiberglassed wood, stainless steel brackets and canvas. Something a DIY type could make at home but doing a really nice job.

Ouch. The old backing paper was a thicker, fiber base type. I've had issues with small patches along its length delaminating and sticking to the film when removed. Paper strands would end being developed with the film.
