I've been playing around with some Rollei IR 400 (HC110). I ahve not shot IR in decades (used to be HIE). Taken with a Mamiya C330f and various lenses. 720nm filter.

Mamiya Sekor 80mm f2.8;

These are lovely. How did you meter when using the filter? I read suggestions of metering at either 12 or 6 ISO.

The exposures turned out nicely. What exposure index did you use (eg EI 6/12/25)?

Thanks. I read a lot of those comments, and metered at ISO 6 with a hand held meter.

Okay, I've been using EI 6 for overcast days, EI 12 partly sunny and EI 25 for summer sun using an R72 filter as well.

This may have been discussed before but from your experience: does the relatively near IR range you get with the Rollei film require a focus correction?

I did not, and had some relatively close shots. I was shooting at f11 to get some DOF. Note I was using a 120 camera, 55-135mm lenses.

All my IR shots so far have been stopped down for deep DOF and with relatively short focal lengths so the IR focus difference has been less significant. And I have been adjusting the focus a little closer too so I really can't say what happens if you don't do that. Most manual lenses have an IR mark on their DOF scale. So you can see how much to correct. The longer the lens and closer the focus distance the more significant the correction is.

Thanks for the info – good to know that it works for you this way.

This Rollei IR 400 shot (@ EI 6) is with a 120mm lens and pretty close focus distance. This is a view camera leaf shutter lens on my Crown Graphic and it doesn't have a DOF scale. I just guessed and focused a little in front of the trees.
