Here's a smoother example of Kentmere 400 in the Pen F. This thick stem of honeysuckle has been growing at our house in NS for 35 years. It came from a cutting that my mother had grown elsewhere in NS, and also at several homes in the UK. Curiously, it was an illicit cutting stolen at a garden party at Buckingham Palace in the 1930's when one of my forebears had done something civic-minded and was rewarded with an invitation. It still flowers each year and we will be sure to take cuttings to the new house.

I suspect so. It's something my father gave me when I was just a child and if he told me anything about it I don't remember.

Yes, it works.
Some closeup work observations using the camera. First, there is no DOF preview. And secondly, for me, that closeup scale on the camera is not very useful at all. Recall in the gear porn shot the whole side of the camera is devoted to fancy curves for focal length and focus distance. That has so much error tolerance reading it what's the point.

The close up scale is then 'squeezed in' at the bottom of the camera and only the sharpest eyes in the world can read it because the font is so small. I needed a magnifying glass. And then finally the scale left me scratching my head wondering how much exposure do I add?. So I focused at infinity, found two places for reference to measure the bellows extension and then just calculated the exposure compensation based on final extension. The negatives turned out good.

During these times of film shortages, imagine throwing away 50 sheet of Delta 100? Well the equivalent of that happen. Recently I purchased a box to try it out. I liked it, used it up and so I order two more boxes. FedEx delivered my order to the wrong location. I don't know where and apparently FedEx doesn't know either. Now the store is out of stock of Delta 100 in 4x5 sheet.

Before someone asks: the black patch on the lady’s nose is a kind of wood tar produced by dry destillation and used for a therapeutic purpose. And the object on the wall to the right is a wooden plough.

This is an important post for me in this thread. Last night I home-developed a test roll of film - my first ever attempt at developing - and this is the first negative I've digitised from that roll. It's not going to win any prizes or even admiring glances - but it's special to me

This is the old Wesleyan Chapel (c. 1880) in Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham, England... taken on a dull day with mostly white-washed sky

Looks a lot better than my first try, which had loads of light leaks and timing issues

I'd say it's a good first effort
