User manual

Hi!
I am trying to find a user manual for Pentax Electro Spotmatic and for the ES II. I can't seem to find one using google. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Thanks!

PENTAX MANUALS has the ES and the ESII but I don't see the Electro Spotmatic. The pdf's are free and the scans are very very good. I'll also try to dig up a link to a huge paper manual seller - I'm sure you'd find it there but I don't have the link on my laptop

Well, since Electro Spotmatic = ES I think the ones from Pentax-Manuals.com are your best bet

If you mean the ES operates the same as the Electro Spotmatic, so the ES manual should be good enough that's good advice. If the OP specifically wants the Electro Spotmatic manual it is probably distinct.

The Electro Spotmatic actually is a distinct camera. The Electro Spotmatic was only offered in Japan Home Market. It actually has the full description engraved on the top plate. The electronics didn't work well and it was replaced in Japan by the ES, which was released globally.

From Asahi Optical Historical Club:
  • Electro Spotmatic - Japan only - 1971-1972
  • ES - Japan, Int'l, USA - 1971-1973
  • ESII - Japan, Int'l, USA - 1973-1975

Hi all .

Thanks for the tips. I have a "late" version of the Electro Spotmatic, with a green letter R on the rewind nob. This version should have the new circuits in place and be more stable. The electronics in my camera looks to work just perfect. The body seems almost perfect. Looking to run a film thur it, but wanted to read some in the instruction manual first :-)
