K1000 with SE sticker

It would seem that this is an early SE with replaced leatherette. Certainly all the SE characteristics, only a sticker instead of the engraved SE. It is a curious camera. Thanks so much for the interest.

Please excuse the thread resurrection. I have the same camera, minus the SE sticker. I believe the "leatherette" is original. I have seen one or two other k1000s with the same diamond pattern rubber skin. If the OP's smells like mine, it's worse than the smell of any of my old Soviet cameras. I actually like it. It reminds me of the New York subway. Thanks for the above posted info on the camera. Very helpful.

I have a couple of the SEs with the sticker (and others with the more normal engraving), but not the special leatherette.
