Where to get LX Flash Sync Cover?

Okay, found the lugs! Now I need a flash sync cover that isn't $40. Anyone know where to find one? (P.s. I'm just editing this thread because I don't think this deserves a whole new thread).

I just gave in to my LX gas and purchased one. However it doesn't have strap lugs. Does anyone know where to find some of these?

Thanks in advance,

Chris

Actual lugs show up from time to time at either KEH ...see http://www.keh.com/camera/Pentax-Manual-Focus-Camera-Straps/1/sku-PK340090069310?r=FE, but not currently available.

or on

"The Bay" on the items in Joe and June's Pentax Emporium store on eBay! Pentax Emporium...

otherwise OP/TECH type A strap clasp for lugs.

A quick Google search turned up only one in-stock source ... a UK camera shop "Rocky Camera".

The problem is that Pentax used a proprietary lug on the body and those are rare and hard to come by.

Yes, but the Hasselblad strap whit its proprietary lug clip system fits on the Pentax proprietary LX lugs, try it and you will see!
I suspect that Pentax somewhat copied the 1957 Hasselblad lug system, the LX lugs are a little bit thinner but the head of it is large enough to hold the Hassy strap clips.
The Hasselblad strap, which is very good, is still sold, and the LX one is not...

PS. Been there, done that.

Managed to get some from KEH. Now I'm on the lookout for a flash sync cover that isn't $40!
