I got a New-In-the-Box Spotmatic! - battery question

I can't believe it! I found a brand new in the box Spotmatic II! I will cherish it for the rest of my life!

However... It doesn't have a battery...
Can anyone help?
I tried 389 and 390 battery but it doesn't work =(

Let me try to upload some photos...

[UPDATE]
Bad News! The meter is behaving badly!
When I set the ASA to 100 and the shutter to B
The indicator only moved downwards slightly

But when I turn the shutter to other settings,
the indicator rapidly plunged upwards...
And when I change the aperture, the indicator doesn't move at all!

=(

Congratulations. Here's a couple places to download the manual for your new camera:

http://www.lensinc.net/manuals/SpotmaticII.pdf (one file, but poor b&w copy)
Pentax Spotmatic II instruction manual, user manual, PDF manual, free manuals (two files, part 1 and part 2, but nice color copy)

Looking through the manual on page 16-17 it says the replacement battery is a Mallory PX-400 or RM-400-R. A quick Google search shows a SR936W, PX400S or WCLR41 will work as a replacement due to the fact those batteries are no longer made. But if it was me I'd use a battery with the same voltage, available here Wein MRB400 (RM400) 1.35v Zinc-Air Battery W9901241 B&H Photo. Hope that helps.

Ha! Didn't I tell you that it comes with original menus?

But Thanks! I ordered one off Henry's.

394/SW936/AG9 silver cells fit perfectly, give accurate readings and last a long time.
Wein Cells are several times more expensive and die after a very short time.

Oh Really? Thanks for the reminder. I'll get the AG9 when the RX400 runs out!

I would send it for CLA before using it. Who knows what's the state of the lubricants after so many years!
And congratulations, it's a beautiful camera!

I was looking for some M42 lenses in Downtown Camera in Toronto. And I asked if I can see a Spotmatic, since I always wanted one of those.
However, the once on the shelves are all pretty much beaten up by the users.

He asked me if I want a Spottie, I said: "of course! I'll get one if it's not that beaten up."

Then he went into his office. I thought to myself wow he's for real!

He then showed up with a Spotmatic brand new in the box!

He told me that he bought it from a dying collector friend of his (how sad =() and asked me to take good care of it.
And of course I will!

That's pretty neat. Take care of it by using it as it was meant to be.
