Also I must add that while I see the pz-1's heritage in the k10/k20/k7/etc, it is still one fugly looking camera. I mean all that curved plastic. Ugh. Form follows function I always say. I bet that camera gets some odd looks in public.

It grows on you. It works really well and that is what counts. I'm sure many will disagree but I believe that, with the possible exception of the battery, this was probably Pentax's best autofocus/auto exposure camera until the K7 came along.

The PZ-1p grew on me enough to get a second body and to search for a year or so to get the plastic grip for it too. It's still a great camera.
