The Rikenons are getting ready for the next trip to Thailand and India. This time the MX gets a go!

Taken with the Pentax-M 1:2.8 28 mm at f/22...., rightly or wrongly...

I have been taking the MX out early mornings in the pre sunrise on the tripod.
It is the best camera I have, viewfinder so bright, so smooth on the silk shutter at low light.
I got caught with iso 800, the metering stops at 1/8th

All with Ricoh xr-p with Vivitar 24mm f/2.8, Kodak BW400CN a while ago with the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco

Love my Ricoh xr-p. I wish I have a better scanner or scanning procedure at home to help me enjoy 135 films.

Cheers,
Hin

Thanks for posting these. I should probably also stick a few up, given that I own three Ricohs, but there are so many to choose from!

Not many Ricoh users posting?
I put a few shots I took with my XR2S from back in the film days in a gallery on here. The ones I put up were from the disc that Kodak was providing with processing toward the end of the film era. I plan on scanning the slides and negatives, when I can budget time for it. So for now, here are a few, and there are others in my gallery here: Racer's A Gearhead

A Ferrari V-12

Some shots of an old Bentley

Here are a few from the slide archive that I shared on the general film image thread, but cross-posting them here is acceptable too...I guess...

Green Lakes, Daybreak

Tioga Pass, Early Snow

Vernal Falls, Base

All from the same roll of Kodachrome 64 using my Ricoh XR7. The last is my fav of the bunch.

Taken last Oct 2012 with the KR-5 and the Rikenon P35-70mm f/3.5-4.5 on a dull rainy day, on the wider sides of zoom and aperture.
Hmm... Looks like I need the 1983 model P24~40 f/2.8 ?
Cockatoo Island Dockyard, the engineering office and submarine drydock where I was located for a while in 1972.
The island is now open to public via a ferry stop but was deserted when I was there and I while I was wandering around taking shots I met a student who is working on restoration projects.

My XR10 is still good, but the KR5 super lost its battery cover.
To keep them company I have the Rikenon-P 28 (excellent), 50/2 (nice) and 55/2.2 (not great), and the XR 70-150 f/4 which is a well built and talented lens. Good stuff! I had a Sears/XR 50mm f/1.4 that was excellent, but focusing it was a challenge; now that I have a K-01 in the house I really miss that lens!

The 1986 Rikenon Lens Series catalog lists a 16mm f/2.8 with 8 groups, 9 elements, min focus 150mm, built in filter, and weight 290 g
This was not a P lens, and I don't know if non P lenses were still labelled XR?
At that time the current cameras were shown as KR-5 Super, KR-10 Super, XR7, XR-20SP & XR-P
