The OP needs to decide what he really means by manual, the Ricoh XR2s can run both full manual or aperture priority, as can a lot of other bodies, from the description the best body is likely an MX, but if you don't want a compact camera get a KX. Built like a tank, can be bought with a variety of focusing screens, mine has ground glass but split image is also available, and except for the light meter, it is fully mechanical, I.e. fully mechanically timed
