I'll drink your share.
Go for it! I'll trade you my share of beer for your share of mead.

The only thing in my picture i'd even consider drinking is the tap water, the rest is photo chemistry. Though you can see my espresso maker off to the right.

I hate feeling like I'm posting too much, but this is a post it if you got it thread.

Sunset through a Bronica S2. 75mm f/2.8, Portra 400 loaded

My 6x7 and its new-to-me 300mm f/4 lens, and an Auto 110 mounting its closest equivalent, the 70mm f/2.8. I love the red soft release I found for the 6x7!

Please forgive the messy table in the background, it has since been dealt with

And lastly, my 6x7 kit all together: 105, 165, 45 and 300mm lenses, and my 6x7 body with its snazzy grey leatherette.

Is that leatherette or GripTac?

Leatherette is a blanket term (as far as I know, anyway) for any faux-leather covering. But in this case, it is GripTac from Cameraleather.com.

The main body of the camera is all the as-cut Pentax 6x7 kit provided by Cameraleather.com, the panels on the metered prism were cut down from the unmetered prism panels supplied in the kit (There is no kit for the metered prism specifically or for the WLF, which reminds me I need to order another sheet of the good grey stuff for my 6x7's WLF and the folding WLF on my LX)

Thanks I didn't want it to be too garish, or too plain. I thought this was a good compromise.

I can't remember if I did my LX's first or this camera, but all three of them match

A happy find ... 49€ delivered. I was answering an ad for a SMC Tak 50/1.4 which was already sold, but was told that the SMC Tak 24 was available, but not yet advertised for sale. I took it and it is optically great plus very nice cosmetically with a bit very minor paint loss on the barrel ... and the hood and cap plus B+W were nice, too.

The SP body was thrown in as a freebie ... horrible cosmetics but everything works including the meter. (Free battery included)

Way behind on my "latest acquisitions" and this is the best one from my thrift store. So here we go ... purchase pice on buckle, and "oui" it's 10€ ! (xpost)

Contents ... all like brand new. I have never seen a full kit like this and in this great condition. The three filters are still in their wax paper and look like they have never been used. This must be a very late edition kit because the Helios 58/2 is a 44M-6.

As soon as the weather "springs up" a bit I will take this beast out on a shoot and it will definitely stay in my personal collection. Not for resale or trade ... too cool. Happy camper.

EDIT : There are actually FIVE filters ... in my haste, I left two in the case.

I found a source for GripTac outside of Cameraleather and should probably do a post with the details. It is used for sport grips, is not expensive, and is available in different colors/surfaces. I just have to remember the Web site

Merci www,

My three non-MLU 6x7's ... from left to right; my first one that is with a newly acquired 105/2.4 ... in the middle, the one serviced by Eric H. and with a newly acquired TTL prism, and one the right a mirror up locked:jammed one that I bought cheap only for the TTL prism and the waist-level viewfinder.

I think that I may take a chance on (self) servicing the mirror locked up one after reading up a bit on this problem ... if I fail, no big deal I will sell it for parts and I will get some gray leatherette to practice with that, too ... thanks for the inspiration!

NB - not all my 67 lenses shown here (lil' wink ;-) ... )

Nice find Jean! Though you may want to leave the "Fotosnaiper 12" at home, might attract some unnecessary attention!

Spiratone 20mm f2.8 with massive dedicated OEM lens hood in an adjoining box and Nikkor-H 300mm f4.5. Both acquired in local B&M's.

Here's the Yashica Lynx 14E I picked up last week, with it's big, beautiful 45mm f/1.4 lens. The only problem with it is the rangefinder patch only moves from infinity down to about 10 feet, then it stops. If anyone knows how to get it moving again then that would be a great help as I'm worried that in trying to fix it I'll make a mess of the focus calibration.
