I am the wrong one to ask...
I've flirted with Nikons several times over the years, and they just never "take".
I just enjoy the Pentax ergonomics much more, both in the bodies and in the lenses.
50-135 is a weird focal length range for film, though Nikon is famous for weird focal length ranges (43-86?, 36-72?).
I did have a Pentax 45-125 that was pretty neat on APS-C (I called it my poor man's DA* 50-135...) but on full frame it isn't wide enough or long enough for how I like to shoot.
I guess it was an attempt to get all the portrait lengths in one lens, which is admirable...
This guy likes it, anyway... for whatever that's worth...
