When the original Nikon F and Canonflex came out, after I had purchased an Asahi Pentax S just like the one at the far left (I cannot make out if that one has the f2.2 preset Takumar) my one thought was that Canon made a big mistake putting the rapid wind lever on the bottom. I expected their sales would lag behind Nikon. Many thought Canon had been inspired by the accessory base-plate winder made by Leica, but the Canon mechanism was not as ergonomic and the Leica design was never especially popular compared to the wind lever on the upper right near the shutter release when the N3 was introduced. Canon did not stay with that odd and awkward winder position for long.
Well I did say the first from each and that would make that the original Asahi Pentax. In the larger version you'll notice there is no "S" under the serial number.

But alas, I don't have an S just the original and the K version . . . so far . . .

This was another camera I found on CL from across the country listed as from relative and has problems. Again, cheap enough to take a chance on with the assumption Eric would be able to restore it to it's former glory and he did many years ago now and still working perfectly . . .

Poor man's 6x7 ?

If you can live with 1cm less (6x6 instead of 6x7) and a focal plane instead of a central shutter than the Pentacon six TL might be something for you, oh yes did i mention they are not quite as reliable as the 6x7 's Still they are an aquired taste to some.

My people!!! I have ARAX CM bodies rather than the Pentacon Six bodies... but I LOVE the CZJ P-6 glass.

I do not know the film, but those two cameras are widely regarded as the best of their kind. (TLR & rangefinder 35mm)

They’re definitely two of my favourites

Everyone Loves Pancakes

A trio of pancakes:

DA40xs on the ZX-L. It's meant as an APS-only lens, but it works really well on full frame, especially the ZX generation of bodies.

Chinon 45mm f2.8 on the MX. Not the best lens ever made optically (the DA40 kills it), but it's decent and suits the MX.
Yes, that is a hair band filling in as a focus ring and dinosaur stickers on the flash. Don't judge

Industar 50-2 on the S1a. This one is new to me, a 1986 model, so probably 20 years newer than the camera it is on, just arrived from Ukraine in apparently very good shape.
The FP4 in the camera now will tell me how good it is, but it's already proved itself to be... "interesting" ergonomically...

I had the Chinon for a while on my MX and loved it. Great combo!

Leica M2 and a Voigtlander 35/f2 Ultron. I’ve shared quite a bit of work from this combo in the film thread.

As promised photo's from my 1951 Voigtlander Vito II with Colour Skopar 50mm F3.5 lens. This little $20 dollar camera really impressed me. I thought the Fuji 100 colors were good and when the image was in focus very sharp. Especially guessing focal distance with this small fold up camera.

Even the flash sync worked using a Vivitar flash
