That is such an excellent looking camera that I went straight to eBay to browse around. For now I am exercising self control.

The XD5 was released as the affordable alternative to the XD11. Both cameras are very capable rigs.

Minolta XD-s (XD11)
Diopter version of the XD11 was only sold on the Japanese market.

I haven't kept up with used prices in 135 format and have had that 50/1.2 lens a long time. How expensive is it these days?
I think I pad around £400 for a mint copy from Japan (A series). It is a beautiful piece of glass but makes most Pentax cameras front heavy.

The 50 f1.2 balances on a LX like it was meant to be there.

Minolta makes good looking cameras with the smoothest film advance!

After years of negotiation my father in law agreed to pass his SpotmaticF to me.
He bought it new in themid70s and has seen a lot of use.
