The Elan IIe and the A2e were my favorites of the EOS film bodies.
Sturdier than the Rebels, with better features, they also had he ergonomics right, which Canon rarely did, in my opinion.
And the fancier bodies felt excessive.

They were still good deals last I looked, and I’d be tempted if I wanted another lens collection

Indeed it is. I'll be out with mine probably on my ST801n if/when we get some suitably cold and frosty and misty weather. The type of conditions I prefer film over digital.

Lovely camera. The size looks like that of a Pentax KX, but it's no doubt 1.5 times that... !

Well I was helping a friend move house and so we were clearing the garage. There was a bag of stuff. I asked what it was "late husband's old camera gear". Did I want it ?

I have a couple of EOS 30s, which I think is the model after this one. Very capable and nice to use.

This is the latest Canon to join my collection. A Canon P black re-paint. It's wearing a TT Artisans meter and a Canon Serenar 50mm f/1.5 (Canon Sonnar.)
