Replacement light seals??

Not on a Pentax, but applicable to most.

I recently bought an Olympus OM 4 in nice condition. No dents, no scratches of any consequence, just a little worn paint. The foam plastic light seals are looking pretty sorry; the seller did warn about that.

I've sent an email to the address I have for Jon Goodman, so far no response. Does anyone have addresses for him or know of another source.

Thanks in advance.

Jon is in the middle of selling a house, possibly moving too(?). I know this as I had pinged him a couple of weeks ago about K1000 seals. He did reply and shipped me the seals. He is a bit busy right now with the house sale, but will get back to you in time.

That's a relief! I gathered that he'd had trouble with ebay scum who'd sell "kits" with his instructions with his name redacted. From all I can see he is truly worthy of his last name.

He is indeed. Just got seals for an MX and a Super Program 3 or 4 weeks ago. Absolute pleasure to deal with.

Jon Goodman, a Good Man

I just heard from Jon. He said to send him my address and he'd send the seals, and to send a check for $10 at my convenience. My convenience is TODAY. This sort of trust in business is so rare today and should be encouraged.

Jon Goodmans light seal kits have given new life to so many older film cameras.
I have also purchased used photo gear from him. He's very good to deal with.

Even I use Jon Goodman - and Eric is the only address in my USPS Address Book.

A bit off topic and therefore apologies...

I have an MX power winder but the foam in the battery compartment has turned to goo. It still works but one can hear the batteries sliding about a bit and when you take them out they are covered in muck.

Has anyone had any experience changing the foam on one of these?

Thanks, Kris.
