Fond memories: the Auto110 was my first Pentax--took it on my first trip to China.

I looked around in about 2011. At that time they were infrequent and as I recall, 2 ~3 times the price of the set of 3 standard lenses

There was one on Shopgoodwill.com in an auction that ended yesterday. Don't know the final price.

My set of 3 shown in post above came from Goodwill, no compete, I recall about $30 plus ship. they were in top condition, the 18 was missing its cap so I made one on the lathe out of acetal.
I almost always only use the 18mm.

Pentax Auto 110 Soligor 1.7x teleconverter Reviews - Pentax Auto 110 Teleconverters - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database
By search, it might be the only off brand lens for the Pentax 110 ?
I see that it is with 2 elements and seems to have a f/8 waterhouse stop at the rear.

I suppose the Pentax 110 was intended for users who just used the wallet sized prints from the local shop. I did that for years with thousands of photos on my 35mm slrs, and rarely had enlargements made.
When I was making the adaptor for Pentax 110 > M4/3 I had trouble with the corner sharpness, as the images on the screen are a lot larger than those old wallet sizes. The m4/3 does not have a in-body adjustable aperture like the Pentax 110.
I read that aperture position is critical. With help of PF member Mysteryonion, we put together a sketch (posted on PF somewhere) showing the position of the Pentax 110 aperture in relation to the lens mount.
With aperture on the M4/3 adaptor positioned close to the original P110 position, the corner sharpness improved a lot, (although not as good as a typical 35mm lens), and I was able to make a bigger aperture of somewhere around f/6.3 to f/8.

The M4/3 camera can be set 6:6 (square) aspect ratio which further improves edge sharpness although I use it a native 4:3 with the P110 18mm

Has anybody here used the Soligor t/c ?
