"European Camera of the Year 1983"

If you haven't guessed, this is about a Super A. But a rather specific one...

I spotted this in an auction a few days ago and was lucky enough to bag it. It's a tidy Super A which is now fully functional after I hooked the return spring back into place on the film counter. However, that's not the interesting bit. Notice the brass disc on the front?

These were sold as part of a special pack, containing the camera, a branded strap, an A 50mm f1.7 (with a cap with the same lettering) and an AF200T flashgun. I have seen a photo on the Asahi Optical Club website but unfortunately that seems to be undergoing an overhaul at present, so the image isn't currently visible. The lid of the box hinged back to reveal the contents, doubling as a display stand.

I intend to reassemble such a kit, and was wondering if anyone else has one? I'm specifically looking for two pieces of information:

What range of serial numbers would the lens have come from? I've fitted an M 50mm for now so I can test the camera.

Was there anything special about the flash, and did it come with the usual leatherette case or was that left out? There was no sign of a case in the photo but it could easily have been under the other contents of the kit.

Oh, I'm sorry, I thought this was for discussing cameras.

Apparently it's for sarcastic gits!

They changed slightly -> http://www.aohc.it/_old/cameras/saecy.jpg

Good luck with the pieces as it should make a nice kit when completed!

At least it's more subtle than this:

IIRC Nikon sold scads of this "Limited Edition"...

Wow... mechanical craft at its finest...
Congrats on your find, I'll refrain from offering advice on how to recompose the kit because I lack the required knowledge/experience.
...but that's a nice piece of camera porn nonetheless!

Me too. I recently bought another Nikon F2 Photomic.
OTOH I will never own a Pentax Super Program/Program A.
