Hi I have a Pentax super program and I used it this whole past year no issues yesterday I tried to load some new film in and when I tried to wind it the shutter released on its own. Does anyone know how I can fix this? The film is moving forward with the winding lever but my pictures are being wasted because it won't cock and wait for me to press the shutter release button it releases as soon as it's wound.

That's a really common issue with the ME series and related models. To make those cameras so tiny, a lot of the parts were scaled down and quite thin. The shutter cocking mechanism is usually the first thing to wear out. Adjusting it can be a temporary solution, but it usually misbehaves again in short order.
You need parts, possibly a new shutter. But they haven't been made in years.

I can't say that I have heard of your exact issue with the Super Program, but having that type of problem would not surprise me. While the electronic shutter cameras of that era have proven to be very dependable in general, age may cause problems such as what you describe. Causes might include worn or bound shutter components or a failed shutter release switch. Although repair may be possible, replacement with a similar camera that works may be the less expensive solution.
