MX flash issues

My MX (bought used on the bay 3 or 4 years ago) is in really good shape but has suddenly developed an issue. It won't fire the flash, either on the hotshoe or cabled to the X-sync. All other electronics seem fine. The meter lights up, and seems accurate based on a just-developed roll .

Is this common? Is it an easy fix if you're Eric? Anybody else had this happen?

Thanks.

There was just a recent thread about this that will be helpful -> Location of MX flash contacts. I don't recall ever using flash on my MX's so I had to check and fortunately they are all good.

Thanks for the link. Sounds like a similar problem. Looks like the MX will be a natural-light camera until I can ship it to Eric.
