MX jammed film transport HELP

Hi everyone, I have a Pentax MX but the film transport seems to be jammed. Does anyone know any DIY solution for it?

Is there a film in it? If so, try to rewind it after pushing in the rewind button. Is the mirror stuck in up position? More detail would help.

a) Factory loaded or bulk loaded film?
b) How many exposure film and what shot is it "jamming" at?
c) Are you using an autowinder or motor drive with you MX?
d) Have you tested the batteries or replaced them with fresh ones?
e) Is the film in the camera or have you rewound it and removed it?
f) With no film in the camera, does the camera fire? If it fires, does the film advance lever stop short of fully engaging to the right?
g) How long have you had this camera? Roughly how many rolls have you shot with it? Did anything unusual happen before the jam?

I donʻt know your level of experience, but Iʻve seen beginners (or a child playing with the camera) fiddle with the rewind knob mid-roll and turn it counterclockwise which effectively locks or jams the film into the cassette, making it difficult to impossible to advance or rewind.
