I think it is very hard to determine "who manufactured what". If you spend a few hours on Google you will find that there are traces of successful camera designs that at one point of time hop over from Japan to China. One example being the Pentax K1000, another one the probable most widely spread OEM camera of all times, the Cosina CT-1 (and its likes) and finally also the Minolta X-300. I think it is a solid assumption that some time in the later 80ies companies like Asahi Optical and Minolta (and probably even Nikon and Canon) moved the production of their budget models to China. I have no clue if the same applies to Cosina. Anyway, once the Japanese gave up their basic model, the Chinese assembly lines kept on running, only putting a different label on the cameras. There is/was a vast variety of Minolta X-300 likes and also the Pentax K1000 had a 2nd life as Seagull. Mingca, Maginon, etc.
I wonder if the number 1 OEM manufacturer Cosina also took advantage of cheap Chinese assembly lines - most likely yes. And there you go, the Cosina CT-1 reincarneged with some Chinese badges on it....
