Audley End, Essex. Pentax LX, but I don't remember the lens (it was a couple of months ago!).

I received an email today from The Film Photography Project.
FPP is now accepting orders for Ektachrome E100 in sizes 120, 620 & 4x5.
Email states it will begin shipping at the end of December 2019.

Are you sure it's in 620 too?

Anyway it's great news. I am keen to try it out in 120!

The Film Photography Project sells commercially available 120 films that they've re-spooled onto 620 spools, so that's probably why they're advertising it.

Ah right, thanks for the explanation. I was surprised to see new 620 film apparently being sold.

Pre-ordered a pro-pack immediately after I got that email as well.
Then not 30 minutes later got confirmation that Blue Moon (Blue Moon Camera and Machine) will give a discount for pro-packs, damnit. Doh!

The Cinestill store will also be getting it in as well.

I just got my 40th roll of the new Ektachrome 100 processed at my local lab this week and definitely have noticed an improvement over the first emulsions that I shot in the fall of 2018.

Unfortunately I don't have the boxes from the first rolls I shot in October/November 2018, so I can't compare the emulsion numbers to what I'm shooting now.

I've currently got 11 rolls of #0171 (expires 08/2021) and one roll of #0181 (expires 11/2021) in the fridge. I've also got one roll of E100 with no box, that I had marked with an expiry date of 05/2021. (No emulsion #)

I can't find anything on the internet where Kodak indicated they tweaked E100 slightly since it's initial release. I noticed the change after I got through the first batch of 25 rolls I bought back in the fall of 2018.

Who knows for sure, but the film seems more vibrant now and also easier to scan.

Phil.

PS I've only shot 1 roll of the 120 version, so no comment on that format yet.

I still haven't tried the new stuff but I just purchased two rolls. MPEX had the best price, $9.99 per roll 135-36.

I hope my planned Columbus Day weekend leaf-peeping trip to the Berkshires comes off as planned.
Last year like too many others we had to cancel so I gave away my Ektachrome.

That's a good price and E100 will work well with the fall foliage Don't forget the skylight filter!.

Phil.
