Lomography Lady Gray 400: Developing guidance?

After a long wait, three rolls of Lomo's Lady Gray 400 B&W film showed up this past weekend. I had been interested in it when first looking at film photography. I don't have guidance for how to best develop it with Clayton F76+ which is the only developer I have on hand (and I have little interest, at this time, in changing away from).

I've read that the Lady Gray being sold now is made by Foma for Lomography but that doesn't tell me what it actually is or how to develop it. I could use my development schemes for Foma 400 to handle this stuff but that seems sloppy and I don't have a lot of rolls of it to waste.

Thoughts? I've already reached out to customer service at Lomo for assistance but have not heard back yet.

Information from Film Development Chart | Darkroom Solutions says to develop for box speed (400 ISO) at 68° f, Dilution 1:9, 30 second agitation, develop time is 8:00 Minutes

And that's the same time as Foma 400. Hrm. Wondering if I just spent about $6 a roll for a three-pack of 400 Action...

That site is specifically pulling the dev time for Fomapan 400 (see the references note.). But it is another page that reinforces the claim that Lady Grey is now Fomapan 400.

Unfortunate. I had hoped they were at least having tweaks made to an existing emulsion. I may throw a roll in each of my three film cameras and shoot the stuff at three different speeds to see what happens. It's Foma 400 February, after all...

I’d try 250 or 320 and meter carefully! It is very red sensitive!

I actually shot a roll of Foma 400 at 200, reduced time in developer by 15%, and got some fairly good results. I think with a camera with more accurate metering than the one I used would have made for even better results. You can see this on one of the updates I made to my Clayton F76! thread last night.

I keep wanting to make the most of Foma 400 and F76.

I was asked to process a cassette by a Camera Club member -- never heard of 'Lady Grey 400 ' before ! I did it in home-made ID11 formula 1+1 for 10 mins @ 20oC and came out well .

I'll share shots from the rolls that I'm using. I think both of my k-mount film cameras have a roll loaded currently. I've read that it's just Foma 400 Action in a different labeled container so I'm treating them as such. Both will be pushed to EI 1600. The third roll will probably go in my M42 camera and pulled a stop or so (still feeling that one out).

Just had a roll back from the lab. They largely seem a bit thin. 🙄 The developing seems OK though. Perhaps I should test my K2DMD meter...

Foma400 is very red sensitive in blue light I derate!
