Restoring K1000... #5

Hello,

My first real camera was purchased back in 1989. A K1000 which is now in Eric's workbench been re-calibrated. Thru the years I acquired a second and a third one, both cheap as they were beaten up but working. I just cleaned and refreshed them. Then I was given #4 which was left for dead. That's the one I rescued and restored back to working condition a few months ago.
Then, a few days ago I gambled on an eBay Non-working unit that somehow was missed by the recent K-1000 craziness that drives the prices to ridiculous levels. Got it for a few bucks. No pics yet but it looks decent. A bit tired but can be refreshed.
Non-working? Well, the battery was dead. A new battery and guess what....
Preliminary quick tests in the office indicate everything works and sounds about right...
I think this was a good score. Pics to come later when I get home. Stay tuned.

Thanks,

Yeah, it’s been three hours, where are the pictures?

Seems like this is becoming a habit for you

What is the habit? Getting K-1000s or keep you waiting on the pictures?

Sorry, it will be a long day at the office today......

Hello,
Sorry, it's been a wild month at the office and it will not get any better soon...
Quick pics of the K1000 #5. I dusted it a bit before these pics but it looks good. Will test it, check light seals etc. and then I'll polish it up.

Thanks,
