Hello, this is my first post on here so appologies if its in the wrong category

I have frequently come to this forum for help with my pentax MX however the issue I had was always covered by someone else.

However this time I cant seem to find any information on thie problem. The issue is that when I wind the film advance lever there is little resistance, I deduced that to be becuse the black thing (circled in green) was not being pused down as it hadnt moved when I pressed the shutter. The two gears circled in red also do not move when the film advance is moved. The shutter presses down and the mechanism in the bottom right moves but I belive the issue lies under the blck plate.

I had already removed the assembly that is ussually inside this camera as my shutter was stuck and i was fixing that howver as I went to screw it all back in one of the screws fell down where the green circle is and I am assuming that it is the cause of the issue however I may be wrong but im sure it cant help it being there.

If i can Id like to know if i can remove the black plate without having to dissasemble the camera too much as I dont have the experience and skill neccessary for a big dissasebaly job, however if there is another fix i can try I'm all ears.

Seriously though it sounds like the re-wind button on the bottom of the camera is either pressed in or not functioning ?
