I bought a box of
junk high quality used cameras from Goodwill a few summers ago and wanted to try them out.
The SF-10 had a cracked display but seemed to work OK otherwise, The SF-1n worked for part of one roll then ate its film transport.
There was one F35-70 that completely came apart in my hand and another that was fine.
On the good side was this Spotmatic, with its attached Lentar.
Once a kind person on the forum sent me a new bottom plate (corroded battery), it worked fine.
The Lentar has the weirdest bokeh I've seen in a SLR lens thanks to its highly non-circular shape, but it's not bad otherwise.
The upper left of this image has an excellent example of its weirdness... it's like they tried to make starbursts the wrong way...
There was also an Argus/Cosina 1000 (gone to a new home) and a Mamiya 500 (also in a new home)
I tested three cameras on one roll of film. I'd load the camera to the next blank frame, shoot the first shot in the mirror so I wouldn't have to write down which camera/lens combo I used, then go outside and shoot 6-7 more...
