Test shots on my new Pentax 67

So these were taken on my new to me Pentax 67 which I purchased from Japan on eBay. The seller said near Mint condition, when it arrived I would say it was Mint. That was a win for me.

I was a bit concerned about light leaks but all the seals looked great, so I popped in some Portra 160 for my first test shots.

These are all metered in camera.

My very first image, I did just miss the focus on his eye.

This one is a bit better if you ask me.

Testing out the low light capabilities and 'mirror slap'. Resting camera on coffee table.

Now testing dynamic range and highlight control.

And now for some random shots on a drive.

local camera store does b&w and c41 which is great......i do not have the room to do it myself although that would be super cool........also the learning process of just scanning tells me i might not be suited for developing!

I am 1000kms 1 way from my nearest lab, so developing myself would be awesome. Although if I do end up moving closer then it would not be as viable. I am looking at doing my own Hi-resolution scanning and will be trialing a new set up my next days off.

I am using the 90mm 2.8 lens. I never got the 105mm.

Equipment for film development is cheap, begin with black and white ( maybe you then dont want to continue with colour) .
The expensive part is the scanner. My Canon 8800f is very sensitive to film flatness. In the furure I hope to make a film mash where the film placement is well defined

I already have plans to do DSLR scanning and currently own a Nikon D810 which is enough resolution for me. If I want more I would stitch multiple images together or get a drum scan performed. I have done some scanning with a home made negative holder, but have since purchased the Essential Film Holder from the UK and am looking forward to using that.

Thanks for the information about Essentiel filmholder but inclusive tax and shipping it is rather expensive.

I guess it is but thought it was worth the investment. Only time shall see.

Developing roll film takes very little room. It could be done in a bathroom or closet. Bathroom is easier because of running water. IMHO, film developing is easier than scanning. Give it a try.

Thanks,
