Iíd say service them both, shoot them a bit, then sell on the one you donít like as much. A freshly serviced copy of either is probably going to get a lot more than unserviced, so you shouldnít be out too much for the experience.

I was never a huge fan of the SRTs, but I know some folks love them. That said, I just sold my Spottie in favor of my meter less H1a.

You answered your question: "the Spotmatic is more attractive...."
I would not give something like that away, ever.

I know but I was hoping a mint Pen F might fill that void should I sell the SPII Or should I be thinking of them like blondes and brunettes

More like 2 different kinds of beer.... Kolsch and Stout IPA
I always keep both in the fridge depending on the food and temperature

Now that too is my kind of analogy

You've all convinced me, I'll keep and service both.

I love this forum

I knew there was a reason I never got on with Minoltas...

But I thought the whole point of an IPA was you could ship it around the world unrefrigerated and it would still taste just as bad as the day it went in the bottle

Iíll be over in the corner with my Kolsch

Heathen!

Can't beat a decent IPA, it's like eating real chocolate compared to Hershey's

I just got an SL today. The Pentax family leads in the film stakes:

3 Pentax - Spotmatic SPII; ME Super; SL
1 Minolta - SRT100X
1 Ricoh - XR-X
1 Yashica - Minister 700 rangefinder

Something has gotta give

The Ricoh is definitely going and the Minolta will have to go now I have the SL as well. I might keep the Minolta lens though.
