When the excitement fizzles the moment you open the box..

Years ago I was looking for a K80-210/4.5 zoom lens. The K Series lens happens to look identical to the easier to find M Series version 1, except for the lens name on the barrel.

I thought I found the rare K Series version on eBay, but the pictures in the listing were hard to verify the lens name "SMC Pentax 80-200mm F4.5". I emailed the seller and had them verify the name on the lens barrel and I asked them to make sure it was not the M Series "SMC Pentax-M 80-200mm F4.5". They assured me there was no "M" in the lens name, so I was a happy camper......

Completed the transaction and weeks later the lens arrived from it's overseas journey from the UK.

Opened the box and yes it was the M Series version.

Back it went to the UK!

At least they’re willing to fix the mistake. Never had any incidents with photo gear. Many times with cellphone purchases though....
