HOW DO I SHOOT iso 0.8?
If you are not using a hand-held light meter, dial iso 25 into your camera's light meter. Once you expose for iso 25, open up your lens 5 f-stops (or lower shutter speed) for iso 0.8.

It seems like an interesting endeavour to shoot this film. I
hope you post some images!

I have a handheld meter so I can use that, or my LX goes down to ISO 6 so I can use that and open up by three stops... Luckily I'm a habitual tripod user so that is not a problem!

Who needs a tripod? 0.8ISO = 1/60 @f2 in bright sunlight!

LOL!

Of course, with the long shutter times required for ISO 0.8, the reciprocity effects demand an exposure equivalent to ISO 0.4. But then the even longer exposure of ISO 0.4 requires a further reciprocity adjustment to ISO 0.2. But then ....... ISO 0.1, But then............

It's Zeno's paradoxical exposure -- it's never done no matter how long you expose it!

(In fact, the film is really just a strip of perforated clear plastic! )

I live in England. Bright sunlight isn't really an option unless I want to shoot the whole roll in one afternoon on some random day in August...

My plan is to find flowing water and make use of the possibilities of long exposures. It apparently doesn't have a great DR. It was originally made for photographing fingerprints.

Should be fun!

reciprocity adjustment
You are an optimist . . . I learned it as "reciprocity failure."

Also, as I recall, you have to alter chemical development, too . . . right?

Similar sensitivity as wet plate collodion, I think?

Reciprocity failures can vary by film. The 0.8 rating may already take this into account. How to Expose Film Correctly at Night

Kris - I know nothing about film and cannot respond to the what you fellows are discussing.

However, I m thrilled to know there is another Pentaxian who relishes taking pictures of old gravestones and cemeteries. Being in England, you have some considerably older stones to photograph than I get to see. But I still get to see some interesting stones and some great inscriptions.

I will take the time to look through your work on ipernity more thoroughly.

I used to live in England.

I remember that one sunny day. It was breathtaking.

Iso 0.8!!

Is that for capturing sunspots?!? :P

I cant imaging how one would photograph finger prints with it. Cant wait to see what you get from your plan to shoot moving water.
