The venerable Pentax ES and ESII...

Just finished reading this inspiring article about a famous photographer and her brilliant photographic creations via the Pentax ESII. It is further important to note the durability, features, and longevity of this great camera, as outlined in the article:
Pentax ES II: The camera that captured rock's most iconic photograph - Kosmo Foto
I never owned one, but remember the salacious advertisements on the back or inside of National Geographic magazine during the early to mid seventies for both the ES and ESII, that completely succeeded in making me want one or more as my dream camera...

If only the Pentax brand would be marketed like that now.

I enjoyed the article. Thanks for sharing. Some really nice photos with a lovely camera. The marketing thing was really different that time. The Takumars became popular early....

Nice article. I wasn't even aware of the Pentax ES. It deserves to be more well known.

I got a nice ES a few months ago and it's a pleasant camera to use as you would expect from a descendant of the Spotmatics.

Looks like a nice camera. The Fuji X-T30 looks so much like this camera. I wonder if Fuji's designers had an ES on the table when they were drafting the design.

I have a black ES and a "silver" ESII that I use as a pair, the ES with BW film and the ESII with colour. I'm very fond of them.
